Mary Williams, Secretary

Your Board of Directors is working very hard to update Harbour Vista and keep it a peaceful place to live. They volunteer their time and should be commended for all they do. Please say hello and come to one of the monthly Board meetings held on the last Thursday of each month and say "Thank you" for all they do.

Pipe leaks

Pipe leaks are ongoing in Harbour Vista. They are frustrating and can cause damage to property if not handled appropriately. Please know that leaks that occur in your unit also may be affecting your neighbors. Please be familiar vvith your responsibility to repair drains and other items located within your unit. Pipes in walls are association maintained and if you see a wet wall or floor please contact the association management company immediately. Routine plumbing repairs within a unit that are not an emergency should be handled on the first Monday of each month. Due to the construction of the buildings, water shut off to the entire building structure is necessary and requires the approved association plumber to shut off and notice the other building unit owners of when the water will be shut off. The association has arranged for a low cost shut off that the HOA pays for on the first Monday of each month to assist with these non-emergency repairs. Please try to schedule for this if you should need to. Contact your management company at the number above and inform them that you will need this service for your plumber and they will schedule for you at no charge for the first Monday of the month.

Smoking in Common Areas and on unit balconies

Did you know that there are more individuals that die each year from 2nd hand smoke? Please be courteous to neighbors when smoking on balconies and in common pool areas. While it is everyone's right to make the decision on what is best for them, please be cognizant of your neighbors and friends and those in surrounding areas who are sensitive to 2nd hand smoke. We ask you this for the peaceful enjoyment of all.

What are we doing???

Recently the Board has completed asphalt repairs to the streets and cleaning of the ponds. These were 2 major projects that were long overdue. The asphalt slurry and stripe will not be done for another year based upon the recommendation of the asphalt company.

Let's name the Newsletter!!

The HOA Newsletter needs a name. We have many talented individuals with marketing backgrounds and we are looking for a name that lends to the Community theme. Please send all ideas to LAlexander@powerstonepm.com. The Board will select the one that fits best and announce our winner in the next Newsletter!

As we near the Holiday season let's remember those that are not able to be with friends and loved ones. Those that serve our country and are abroad. Those that live down the street that are not fortunate enough to provide themselves with a dinner on the table. Those that can provide a dinner on the table but lack the friends or family to enjoy the meal with them. Let's think of our neighbors and accept who they are with all their positive attributes and their flaws for this is what makes them who they are. Our neighbors. Let's all be thankful for all we have and who we are .....
